Understanding the Ocean to better protect it

According to the UN, we do not know enough about the scale of the threats posed by marine pollution, plastic, and the contaminants they release, or their impact on marine biodiversity in particular. Further research is necessary and essential for the effective management of human activities that impact the marine environment and biodiversity.

Sailboats as floating laboratories

KRESK 4 OCEANS aims to contribute to a better understanding of the impact of pollution and contaminants on marine biodiversity by developing projects that use sailboats as floating laboratories, which are more agile and allow access to little-known areas.

Sailboats used for scientific exploration

KRESK 4 OCEANS develops and supports innovative scientific expeditions aimed at better understanding the impact of contaminants on marine biodiversity.

KRESK 4 OCEANS wishes in particular to pay special attention to the consequences of bioaccumulation on the endocrine systems, by studying the presence of a15> endocrine disruptors and their impacts on marine biodiversity.

The SVR-Lazartigue trimaran, contributor to oceanographic science

Racing boats reach areas of the ocean that are poorly served by maritime traffic, and scientists lack data mainly in the northern and southern hemispheres.

The trimaran supported by the KRESK Group will collect data relating to the health of the ocean. a6> data relating to the health of the ocean, particularly during its world tours of the South Pole.
