Protecting the Ocean in the Heart of Paris
In partnership with the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), KRESK 4 OCEANS supports the Les Vitesses Bleues project.
As part of an awareness campaign, a dedicated photo exhibition has been set up in the heart of Paris on the Rampe Châtelet, between the Pont Neuf and the Pont au Change. This outdoor exhibition will be open from September 7 to October 15, 2026.
Underwater noise pollution: a silent threat
This event highlights a silent but devastating threat to marine wildlife: underwater noise pollution caused by commercial shipping.
Through striking images—such as the visual contrast between a massive container ship and a group of dolphins swimming at the surface—the exhibition invites the public to become aware of the pressure humans place on ecosystems.
A simple goal: to reduce the speed of ships
The goal of this campaign is to promote a concrete, science-based solution that our endowment fund is already championing: capping ships’ speed at 75% of their maximum design speed. This simple operational slowdown reduces underwater noise by 40%, cuts the risk of collisions with marine animals by 50%, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions by 13%.
