Our ambassador
Navigateur visionnaire, François Gabart incarne l’esprit d’exploration, d’innovation et d’engagement qui anime KRESK 4 OCEANS.
Winner of the Vendée Globe 2013 and holder of the record for the solo around the world sail in 2017, he continues to constantly push the limits of human and technological performance. Beyond his sporting achievements, François Gabart is a spokesperson for the ocean. He puts his fame and experience to work for an essential cause: preserving the oceans and the climate.
Convinced that performance cannot be conceived without responsibility, François Gabart places the environment at the heart of his approach. He often points out that “climate change will be the only limit to our progress at sea.” Through its partnership with KRESK 4 OCEANS, it is committed to raising awareness among the general public about environmental challenges and promoting concrete solutions to reduce human impact. a10> solutions to reduce the human impact on marine ecosystems.
Through his career and commitment, François Gabart embodies the values of KRESK 4 OCEANS: courage, innovation, and respect for life. His ambition mirrors our own: to take action today so that future generations can look at the ocean with confidence and admiration.
Every year, François Gabart’s avatar, accompanied by Tom Laperche’s, takes students on a free educational program that allows them to discover, while having fun, biodiversity, plastic pollution, and solutions to remedy it.
Built by Mer Concept, the SVR-Lazartigue trimaran is much more than just a racing boat: it is a floating laboratory and an ambassador for the oceans. Lightweight, hybrid and equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, it illustrates a vision of navigation that respects the environment. Each crossing is an opportunity to share a message of hope: that of a future where performance and sustainability move forward in concert.
Proudly bearing the colors of KRESK 4 OCEANS, the trimaran participates in the program “Understanding at sea,” combining adventure, science, and education to bring the public closer to the maritime world.
