KRESK 4 OCEANS, an endowment fund committed to the ocean

Aware of the urgent need to preserve the ocean, the KRESK Group and its cosmetics brands SVR and Lazartigue, chaired by Didier Tabary, a sailing enthusiast and lover of the sea, are launching the KRESK 4 OCEANS endowment fund in June 2021.

At the same time, the group acquired the Ultim trimaran, bearing the colours of its brands and KRESK 4 OCEANS. Skippered by committed sailors François Gabart and Tom Laperche, the SVR-Lazartigue has become an ambassador for ocean protection.

KRESK Cosmetics brands committed to sustainability

KRESK Cosmetics brings together several beauty-focused brands – including SVR and Lazartigue – driven by the ambition to care for people and all living things. To achieve this, each brand’s sustainability roadmap relies on key levers such as eco-design, responsible sourcing, sectorial collaborations, and transparency. This strategy aims – through the desirability of its products – to strengthen consumer loyalty, foster employee fulfilment, and secure the support of its wider ecosystem.

The group’s overarching CSR strategy addresses four key challenges:

Combating climate change

Reducing plastic use

SVR

Dermatological laboratory

Since 2017, SVR has been the first cosmetics brand to commit to the fight against endocrine disruptors.

In 2021, it launched a line of sunglasses containing eco-friendly filters that are non-toxic to the oceans, and developed eco-refills that reduce the plastic used in its major products by 70%.

Because it is designed for fragile skin: babies, children, teenagers, pregnant women, SVR is the first cosmetic brand to commit to the fight against endocrine disruptors.

The very-strict formulation charter excludes them as well as allergens, PEGs, and all ingredients that are harmful to health and the planet. In 2021, it also launched a line of sunscreens containing eco-friendly filters that are non-toxic to the oceans.

In addition to formulas, plastic packaging is also a matter of urgent concern. SVR is currently transitioning its packaging to bottles containing 25% recycled plastic that are 100% recyclable, 100% recyclable tubes, etc.

It has also developed eco-refills that reduce the plastic used in its major products by 70%, and in June 2022 it will launch its best-seller, 1L cleansing oil, in packaging made from 100% ocean plastic waste collected by the Waste Free Oceans foundation.

Lazartigue

Hair care specialist

Lazartigue, the botanical revolution for hair beauty: since its creation in 1976, LAZARTIGUE has embodied naturality and respect for the environment.

Jean-François Lazartigue, a visionary “white-coat hairdresser,” was one of the first to integrate botanical active ingredients into his products, convinced that nature holds everything needed to enhance every hair type.

The promise of conscious beauty: to offer formulas that are ever more effective and pleasurable to use, the brand remains true to the values that have driven its success from the beginning: clean, efficient, and sensorial.

Committed to continuous improvement, the brand works to reduce the environmental impact of its products, particularly through the eco-design of both formulas and packaging.

Today, LAZARTIGUE products are vegan, silicone-free, and up to 98% of natural origin. Made in France, the packaging is mostly recyclable and crafted from recycled plastic.
