A meeting between sailors and enthusiastic students
On 4 October 2024, as part of the Concarneau–Antibes race, an exceptional visit was organized at a school in Mougins.
Skippers and ambassadors François Gabart and Tom Laperche met a class that has been using the La Course Bleue educational program, created by KRESK 4 OCEANS, for the past two years.
The teacher, just as enthusiastic as her students, welcomed the sailors in a joyful and curious atmosphere. The children asked many questions, offered drawings, and even performed a song specially prepared for the occasion.
In the afternoon, the class visited the boat in the port of Antibes — an unforgettable moment captured in a video and highlighted in an article published by Nice-Matin.
A educational program dedicated to ocean protection
La Course Bleue is a free, turnkey educational program designed for students from first to sixth grade, aiming to raise awareness among young people about the challenges of ocean protection.
Created by the endowment fund KRESK 4 OCEANS, in partnership with the Fondation de la Mer, the program is officially endorsed by the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research.
The program’s ambassador, François Gabart, embodies the values of commitment, exploration and knowledge-sharing that guide this initiative.
- Raise awareness
A fun and interactive tool for learning differently
The educational platform offers free resources to explore the ocean, its richness and the threats it faces, particularly plastic pollution.
Through La Course Bleue, students explore geography, science, mathematics and language studies while following the adventures of the SVR-Lazartigue skippers around the world.
An educational adventure in constant evolution
Each year, La Course Bleue invites teachers and their students to follow one of the trimaran’s races, offering a dynamic and engaging learning experience.
